Swansea clinic moves to the Welsh Waterfront
Posted on 23.9.15
Our Swansea team is celebrating its move to its beautiful new home in the heart of SA1’s waterfront development. After spending 20 years located at the nearby Singleton Hospital the clinic now has its own purpose-built unit.
The Swansea team will continue to welcome private patients for all consultations, semen analysis, ultrasound monitoring, endometrial scratches, smear tests and saline scans. Patients will continue to have egg collection and embryo transfer in our Cardiff clinic. NHS patients from Haverfordwest will also still be able to attend the Swansea clinic for semen analysis referrals.
Private fertility care in Wales – the next 20 years
Being in an entirely private unit allows the clinic to plan its long-term future in South and West Wales without being affected by any changes within the Swansea hospital provisions. Anne Fisher, Nurse Manager, at LWC Wales explains, “Swansea has always been a high priority area for us and as the most Westerly fertility provision for Wales we have been keen to ensure we can maintain that presence. This move will allow us to focus on the next 20 years!”
A warm welcome at the Swansea clinic
For the staff it has been an inevitably emotional farewell to the place that they’ve called home for so long, but they hope their old patients and new ones will take the short stroll across the marina bridge and pop in to see them in their new home. “The kettle is always on”, says Anne, “the same friendly faces are still with us, but now the view outside the windows is as welcoming as the atmosphere inside.”
