Fertility news, advice and more.
The Alternative Parenting Show provides a one-stop-shop for same-sex couples, heterosexual couples and single men and women considering a family of their own.
Now in its sixth year, the must-see one-day event is being held on Saturday 19 September, at the Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London.
Whether you’re interested in fertility treatment or the alternative routes of adoption, fostering or surrogacy, leading experts in their fields will be on hand to provide you with the information you need. And they’ll be plenty of legal advice on alternative parenting issues too.
The LWC will be the headline sponsor for the sixth year running and has worked in partnership with organiser, Square Peg Media, to bring together some of the world’s leading experts and fertility clinics at the event.
You’ll find time to chat to experts in a relaxed atmosphere and have the opportunity to ask lots of questions. Meet the Alternative Parenting ambassadors, television celebrities Heather Peace and Charlie Condou, who’ll be talking about their own experiences of being parents. Book into one of the many seminars to explore the areas that interest you in more detail – from adoption and fostering to donor created families and the law.
10:45am Contemplating single motherhood?
The LWC recognises the large number of single women coming through the clinic’s doors. This seminar is focused on the various treatment options available to single women at the clinic including egg and embryo freezing as well as treatment with donor sperm. Legal implications and the LWC’s Supporting Single Women programme will also be discussed.
12:15pm INSEMINAR: Fertility treatment using donor sperm
The LWC’s popular INSEMINAR events have been running for eight years and are a great chance to learn more about treatment with donor sperm. The session will guide you through selecting a sperm donor, your fertility and possible treatments such as donor insemination, IVF, egg-sharing and egg donation. Legal implications and how to support yourself through treatment will also be discussed.
If you’re interested in attending you can book your tickets now along with any seminars that you would like to attend.
