About us

2011 Success Rates from LWC Wales

Everyone wants to know their individual chance for acheiving a pregnancy by IVF.  There are many factors affecting your chance which include the women's age, the cause of your infertility and the duration of infertility.  You will receive the best advice from one of our consultant's who will give you a more precise chance of acheiving a pregnancy based on your circumstances.

What we can present to you are the success rates for groups of patients in similar groups.

There are many different ways of presenting "sucess rates".  Unlike other clinics, we choose to present our "success" as acheiving a foetal heart beat at 7 weeks gestation, this means you have achieved a "clinical pregnancy".  For success rates calculated for less than 50 cycles the number is presented (n=).
