Kamal Ahuja gained his PhD at Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Robert Edwards, which sparked his lasting interest in clinical IVF. The ethics of IVF and its cost effectiveness continue to be part of his research interests. Dr Ahuja is Chairman of Reproductive BioMedicine Online an international medical journal, and the Scientific and Managing Director of the London Women's Clinic Group.

Peter Bowen-Simpkins is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Medical Director of the London Women’s Clinic Group. He qualified from Cambridge University and Guy’s Hospital Medical School and obtained the Hancock Prize for Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons. After completing his training in London, he was appointed to a consultant post in Swansea. His main interests have been fertility, the menopause and menstrual disorders. He was on the Council of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for 13 years, the latter seven as the Honorary Treasurer.  He is a Trustee of Wellbeing of Women and is a spokesman for both the College and the charity. He is a regular broadcaster and lectures all over the UK and abroad. Currently he is also the Honorable Treasurer of the Royal Medical Benevolent Fund.

Liz Coward Evans has worked as a Fertility Counsellor for 15 years, mainly in the LWC's Swansea clinic and also as a backup counsellor for the Cardiff and London centres. After graduating in sociology, she gained the Certificate and Diploma in Counselling and Accreditation in Fertility Counselling with BICA.'The role has enabled me to offer support counselling to anyone going through fertility investigations and treatment which has been fulfilling and worthwhile,' she says. 'The counsellors at LWC are very much seen as part on the team.'

Anne Fisher is the Nurse Manager of LWC Swansea.  She has worked for the London Women's Clinic Group since 2003.  Anne qualified in 1981 as a State Enrolled Nurse and consolidated her training on a gynaecology ward. She worked in intensive care for six years as a member of the critical care team and completed an anaesthetic course.  She moved to London to work at the Chelsea Hospital for Women and Queen Charlotte's Hospital and completed an ENB Gynaecology course.  Later, she moved back to Swansea where she is now based gaining her state registration. 

Mary Kennedy, Nursing Sister/Manager, has over 18 years experience in infertility and was instrumental in setting up and managing the LWC Cardiff from its inception. In addition to the day to day management of the clinic Mary also oversees the donor sperm and egg-sharing programmes. She leads a strong team of informed, caring and welcoming staff. Mary is also a member of the HFEA Licensed Centre panel and attends their quarterly meetings in London.

Jeanette MacKenzie is our Senior Embryologist and Laboratory Manager at LWC clinics in Swansea and Cardiff. After gaining her degree in Anatomy and Structural Biology from Otago University, New Zealand, Jeanette completed a Masters in clinical embryology at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. She previously worked as a senior embryologist at Fertility Associates in New Zealand and started at LWC Swansea in 2008.

Meheranghiz Minbattiwalla is a Senior Embryologist at LWC Swansea. She gained her doctorate in reproductive biology from the University of Mumbai, and was also awarded the degree of DipRCPath from The Royal College of Pathologist in 2010. Dr Minbattiwalla has eight publications in national and international journals, two of which are on pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.

Hemlata Thackare, Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist at LWC Cardiff, completed her clinical research fellowships in reproductive medicine at the Barts and the London Fertility Centre and The Cromwell IVF Unit, Swansea. Dr Thackare joined the LWC as an accredited Consultant Gynaecologist & Obsterician in January 2007. She has a special interest in endometrial factors in implantation and polycystic ovarian syndrome and received ‘The Best Young Scientist’ award by the British Fertility Society in 2004. Dr Thackare is the Person Responsible to the HFEA for LWC Cardiff. She says: 'The London Women’s Clinic has been a ground-breaker on issues such as treating same sex couples and egg-sharing. I am proud to lead a very dynamic and caring team in Cardiff.'

David Williams is the Chairman of the London Women's Clinic Group.  He has spent his career in healthcare management.  His initial training was at the King's Fund in London.  Following this his career allowed him to work not only in the UK but also in a variety of overseas locations working in both the public and commercial sectors. In the late 80's he returned to his native Wales where he became Chief Executive of one of the largest NHS orgnasations in the country.  He was awarded an OBE for 'Services to Healthcare in Wales' in 2000.
