Dr Spiros Liatsikos, Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist
Dr Liatsikos graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece, where he was awarded a PhD. He joined the LWC in 2013 and specialises in mild and natural IVF and implementing advanced ultrasound technology in the diagnosis and treatment of subfertility. Dr Liatsikos has published research articles in international journals and scientific textbooks and is a regular speaker at international events.
Dr Chandra Kailasam, Consultant in Reproductive Medicine
Dr Kailasam is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He is a specialist in Reproductive Medicine and has worked in Bristol since 2000; initially at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, University of Bristol and subsequently at the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine. He is a Honorary Teacher at the University of Bristol and lectures to students on the MSc programme in Reproduction & Development. He has published several original and research papers in peer reviewed journals. He has presented at national and international conferences and received an award at the annual British Fertility Society conference in 2016.
Louise Mitchell, Nurse Manager
Louise qualified as a registered general nurse in Cardiff in 2001. She joined an NHS fertility unit in 2004, where she gained further qualifications in women’s health, family planning and gynaecology. In 2010 she joined the LWC – Harley Street before returning to our Cardiff clinic in Wales to become our Deputy Nurse Manager. Louise took the role as Nurse Manager at our Bristol clinic in 2016. Louise is also a member of the HFEA Licensed Centre’s Panel were she helps to represent clinics working together with the HFEA.
Giles Palmer, Senior Embryologist & Quality Manager
Giles joined the LWC in 2016, having previously worked as a Senior Embryologist and Clinic Director in Athens, Greece. He has over 25 years’ of experience working the field of embryology and author to many scientific publications. As well as embryology he takes responsibility for quality assurance within the clinic to ensure that our work meets the required regulated standards.
