Our Darlington clinic is easily accessible by public transport. Darlington Railway Station is just a short distance away, with regular trains connecting the town to London, Newcastle, Leeds, York and Manchester, making travel straightforward for patients from near and far. Local bus routes also serve the clinic, including 6 and 6B, providing easy access from across Darlington and the surrounding area.
There is plenty of parking available at both the front and rear of the hospital for your convenience.

‘It’s took me 7 months to get round to writing this review, but I can’t thank Dr. Hany Mostafa and the team enough. From the very start he told me you only need 1 egg and as luck would have it that’s all they got to work from. I had no hope the whole way through my journey. Dr Hany always kept it real with me, he is very straight talking but quietly optimistic, I just didn’t dare let myself believe. One thing I would say if I could go back and do it all again, I would fully put my trust in him and take away the stress because this man bent over backwards to get me my son and watching him pray when placing the fertilised egg was one of the most heart warming moments of my life. I can now proudly say I am a mother to the most beautiful little boy who looks just like his dad, he raises his eyebrows when he thinks we are funny just before he laughs and I still wake up everyday competently shook he is real and wasn’t just a dream. He is so much more than I even imagined and seeing his little face for the first time was the best moment of my whole life. I can never thank you all enough. ‘We owe everything to London Women’s Clinic in Darlington for giving us our beautiful twin boys but also for the kindness and support when we needed it most. When we first went to the IVF clinic we were so incredibly anxious and shy, we almost didn't want to go in at all. But from the moment we stepped through the door, we were instantly made to feel relaxed, safe, and cared for by the whole team. It is the most friendly, non-judgemental place where everybody no matter who you are belongs. A huge thank you to Amy and Lorraine on reception, who truly go above and beyond. They are so welcoming, and always had us laughing, which made such a difference to how we felt. It is such a warm and professional environment to walk into. We want to give a special mention to our fantastic consultant, Dr. Safwat who is such a genuinely lovely person. He was so patient, understanding, and kind with us. He is very knowledgeable but he explains the process so clearly. We also want to add we never felt any pressure at all and he made us feel truly listened to throughout. We also want to thank the wonderful nursing team and the expert embryology team for their incredible care. Again, every single person we came across was just so lovely. The level of support this IVF clinic provides is truly unmatched. Every single member of staff we encountered was so passionate and genuinely invested in our success. ‘The London Women's Clinic in Darlington provides outstanding care. After two unsuccessful IVF cycles using my own eggs at another private clinic, my husband and I turned to donor egg IVF through the London Egg Bank and chose the Darlington branch of LWC. Although it is nearly a three-hour drive from our home, the clinic's location next to a Premier Inn makes overnight stays easy and convenient when needed. What really sets this clinic apart is the compassion and care they offer. IVF is an emotional rollercoaster, but the team here consistently meets it with patience, empathy, and professionalism. You feel that everyone--the doctor, embryologists, and nurses alike--genuinely wants the best for their patients. Communication has been a standout at this clinic. Unlike our previous clinic, where access to consultants felt less easy, we've had direct contact with Dr. Joshi between appointments. She consistently takes the time to listen and offer thoughtful, reassuring advice. As doctors ourselves--though not in this specialty--we've especially appreciated her clarity, openness, expertise and kindness. During embryo transfer, she explains each step clearly, helping to ease anxiety and create a calm, informed experience. She is always gentle in her approach and clearly very competent, which inspires confidence and trust. Although our first donor egg cycle wasn't successful, we've felt supported every step of the way. We are now in our second and final donor egg cycle. Irrespective of the eventual outcome, we remain deeply grateful for the care we've received. A heartfelt thank you to Dr Joshi, Lihua, Janet, Lindsay, Jackie, Lorraine and the whole team--you have all helped make a very hard journey feel a little lighter.’

‘After trying to conceive for a while, my husband and I came to the LWC in Darlington for an MOT check for me, as we already had my husband's results. From the moment we walked in all the staff were lovely and friendly. We were seen by Dr Neha and came up with a plan of action. After initially trying ovulation inducing medication for a number of months, with no luck, we agreed to move to IVF. Everything was always explained super clearly, they were always upfront about costs and never put pressure on us to make a decision on when or if to proceed. We welcomed our miracle little girl into the world over the weekend and my husband and I could not be more grateful to the whole team at Darlington for literally making our dreams come true. Yes, you are more than welcome to bring a partner or support person to your appointment.
Yes, we have comfortable waiting areas.
Some appointments require you to bring a photo ID (passport or driving licence) so we can verify your identity. Your ID should include your legal name, date of birth and photograph. If ID is required, we'll let you know ahead of your appointment.
Yes, we do. Virtual consultations are available for your convenience, allowing you to access expert advice from the comfort of your home.
Absolutely. You can contact the relevant team by telephone or email to reschedule or cancel your appointment. For initial assessment appointments, patients are advised at the time of booking about our cancellation policy: we ask for at least 48 working hours’ notice to make any changes. Cancellation and Refunds Policy
- If you need to cancel, please notify us by phone or email at least 48 hours in advance.
- Once any services have been provided, a full refund will no longer be available.
- Patients may reschedule appointments twice without any additional fees. If you need to reschedule a third time or more, the full appointment fee will apply.
- Please note that fertility health assessments are valid for 12 months from the date of booking.
