Dr Gideon Verwoerd
Consultant in Reproductive medicine and Clinical Director
Graduated as a medical doctor in 1995 at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa (MBChB, cum laude) and qualified there as an obstetrician and gynaecologist (MMed O&G, cum laude) in 2003. Achieved MRCOG in London in 2005 and FRCOG in 2017. Worked as a Consultant IVF Specialist in Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge since 2005 and joined London Women’s Clinic Cardiff and Bristol as Clinical Director in 2024. Dr Verwoerd worked for eight years as an IVF Specialist in China, where he communicated with patients in Mandarin. He finds it extremely rewarding to witness patients transform to happy parents when they achieve their dream of having their own family.
